Hi! I'm Riley, the owner and designer here at Ivy Doe & Co.
I'm a Catholic, wife, and mom of three children and one dog as well as official "doer of all the things" here at IDC.
Oh, and in my spare time, I'm also a Director of Catechesis! So when I'm not creating new products, filling orders, and doing all the mom things, I'm helping form hundreds of souls in the faith.
As for me, I get absolutely nerdy about the saints, Theology of the Body, and Canon Law, and I'm equally myself quietly and peacefully gardening or playing an aggressive game of Risk.
Gift Giving Woes
With all of those roles, I have a LOT of people in my life to buy for...and after the meaningful (but cliche) rosary and Bible, I felt like I'd run out of go-to Catholic gifts I could give.
So I began to design my own! With a huge emphasis on practicality (no one needs any more stuff!) and infusing tons of deep yet subtle faith symbols, I created mostly for our own home at first.
Then friends began to order, and soon other people I didn't know, and eight years later we're now a fully fledged Catholic gift shoppe!

I see my role as a designer as an extension of my role as an educator - catechesis doesn't just take place in a textbook!
You can learn more about God and your faith from everyday objects like mugs and cloth diapers and hats because He is everywhere. And it's my privilege to help you find Him there.
Why Ivy Doe & Co?
In 2023, we had expanded to beyond just me in the business (we now have a small team of female creatives across the US!) and I knew we needed to rebrand.
So I thought and agonized and prayed, asking God to help me find a name, even though it seemed a bit trivial to me.
But God is so good. And He answered me in the weirdest and best of ways by literally bringing the name to life in my backyard (you can read that whole story here).
Long story short, there is a lot of Biblical symbolism for deer and ivy:
Doe - femininity, purity, virtue
Fawns - fertility, hope, innocence
Ivy - fidelity and eternal life
With our deeply-infused symbolic meaning in each of our designs, the name just fit!
Let Us Love Adoption Benefit

Adoption has always been a cause near and dear to my heart, and I've been blessed to encounter so many families who have given a home to children without them.
I wanted a way to support these families regularly, and thus the Let Us Love Adoption Benefit was born.
10% of our proceeds on all Let Us Love designs go to support adoption funds - and thanks to how much you all love this design, we've been able to contribute to 3 families and over $2,000 as of November 2023!
